Maddy is a native of Nevada and has made a career as an award winning developer in Nevada, as well as the Southwestern United States. He is the owner of several real estate investments, which include Mini Storages, Strip Shopping Malls as well as Restaurants throughout Southern Nevada.

As an active member of the Las Vegas community, Maddy has served on a variety of boards for local corporations and organizations. He has been particularly active with University and Community College System of Nevada, having served on the Board of Regents from 1992-1998, serving as Chairman from 1995-1996. During that time, he provided a wide range of counsel in the areas of investment, legislation and academic affairs.
