Therapeutic counseling is available to assist patients and caregivers in maintaining their emotional well-being while addressing issues related to diagnosis and caregiving. Common treatment areas include depression, anxiety, relationships, grief and loss, adjustment to diagnosis, coping skills, behavior modification and decision making. Family Support Program – Currently enrolling participants
The Family Support Program is a six session counseling intervention for caregivers living with a spouse or significant other with memory loss. It is designed to reduce caregiver stress, improve social and family support, increase caregiver coping skills and positively impact caregiver health and well-being.
Based on a scientifically proven intervention, services include:
- two individual caregiver sessions
- four family/friend sessions
- support group participation
- support by phone as needed
- quarterly contact to review progress and complete follow-up assessments
