A welcoming place to find support and share what you've learned with others.
Patients and family members often feel isolated by their condition or circumstances. Under the guidance of a trained professional, support group participants can share experiences, discuss coping strategies, and increase knowledge of disease-related topics. They also offer support and encouragement to each other.
Some additional benefits include:
Meeting people coping with similar experiences
Learning about resources
Finding solutions for disease-related challenges
Experiencing a safe environment in which to discuss difficult issues
Increasing sense of well-being
