Art & The Brain

Join us for a lively conversation about the rise of newfound creativity in the face of illness. For some people, as they lose particular skills like language, new artistic skills develop to fill the expressive gap. We will discuss the brain circuits underlying these changes and see the impressive artwork created by patients with neurodegenerative disease.
Featuring Behavioral Neurologist Bruce Miller, MD, Professor of Neurology and Director, UCSF Memory and Aging Center, University of California, San Francisco and Daniel Potts, MD, Founder, Cognitive Dynamics Foundation; Associate Clinical Professor,
