Dr. Michael T. Modic is the Chief Clinical Transformation Officer at the Cleveland Clinic. In this role, he facilitates the pace of change and identifies synergies within the clinical enterprise, and has direct involvement and oversight of the areas of Quality and Patient Safety, Patient Experience, Continuous Improvement, Distance Health, Health Enabling Technology and Clinical Data and Analytics.
Dr. Modic also chaired the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute from 2006-2015. This was the first “Institute” in a new integrated care model adopted by the Cleveland Clinic. Within this institute, the Departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are integrated into an organ system/disease based structure.
Dr. Modic’s extensive clinical and leadership background includes Chairman of Radiology at Cleveland Clinic, Board of Governors at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and Professor of Radiology, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of the Case Western Reserve University.
